King Square Healthcare is a full-service medical facility located within the newly developed King Square Mall in Markham, Ontario. C& Partners was commissioned to design the clinic across the ground and third floors, creating a cohesive healthcare destination within a multi-level retail environment.

  • A primary design challenge was connecting the pharmacy and wellness retail spaces on the ground floor with the medical clinics on the third floor. To address this, the design incorporates flowing wayfinding ribbons, organic forms, and intuitive circulation strategies that visually link the two levels and guide patients through the building. These elements extend to the mall entrances, increasing visibility and creating a seamless connection between the clinic and the broader retail environment.

    The ground floor accommodates a pharmacy, wellness retail, spa services, and flexible treatment rooms designed to adapt as the practice evolves. The third floor houses specialized healthcare services, including Family Practice, Fertility, Cardiac Care, and Physiotherapy, together forming a central medical hub for the surrounding community.

    C& Partners provided full architectural and interior design services, including the development of a comprehensive wayfinding system that supports patient navigation and enhances the overall user experience.
