Etobicoke Medical Centre

The Etobicoke Medical Centre is a full-service healthcare hub designed to deliver modern, efficient care to the surrounding community. The building is carefully integrated into its site, with landscaping and greenery that enhance the public realm, along with clear provisions for transit and para-transit access.

  • The façade composition explores form and transparency, using contrasting materials and tones to create visual interest while articulating the building’s programmatic elements. This balance of solidity and openness establishes a strong yet approachable civic presence.

    Inside, the design adopts a natural, calming material palette intended to reduce anxiety commonly associated with healthcare environments. Programmatic zones are defined through colour coding and graphic signage to support intuitive wayfinding and ease of navigation for patients.

    Wood and natural stone textures introduce a biophilic quality throughout the interior, reinforcing a sense of comfort and connection to nature while contributing to a more restorative healthcare experience.
