Sheppard Medical Centre serves as a welcoming destination for health, wellness, and specialized care, placing the needs and experiences of patients, staff, and the surrounding community at the forefront.

  • Designed by C& Partners Architects in collaboration with Mehdi Marzyari Architects, this two-storey medical facility on Sheppard Avenue East in North York, Toronto, embodies a human-centric approach that promotes comfort, accessibility, and wellbeing.

    Guided by a design language rooted in flow and movement, the careful integration of materiality, lighting, and spatial organization intuitively directs circulation throughout the facility, creating a calm and connected healthcare environment. Contrasting colours define various zones, while warm wood finishes and linear lighting contribute to a soothing, biophilic atmosphere. A custom-designed ceiling further enhances the spatial experience, supporting a salutogenic environment that promotes health and wellbeing.

    Extending beyond the building itself, the project strengthens its relationship with the surrounding urban context by enhancing the streetscape and public realm, reinforcing its role as an essential healthcare destination within the community.
