Stouffville Medical Arts is a new four-storey medical facility in the town of Whitchurch-Stouffville. The design holistically encompasses our theories of biophilic design by integrating design elements characterized by natural motifs. The façade design is inspired by the birch tree through form and materiality. These natural elements are integrated into the interior design through natural wood tones and textures. The interior lobby design aims to create a distinct impression upon entering the facility, with a feature ceiling that incorporates natural patterns to reinforce a sense of wellness, comfort, and connection to nature.
